Job description

As an IT M&A Program Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of complex merger and acquisition initiatives across the organization.

You’ll manage a portfolio of 10+ integration projects involving data migrations, system enhancements, and cross-functional coordination.

This role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of IT integration in dynamic environments.

You’ll collaborate with senior leadership to align IT strategies with business goals, drive organizational change, and ensure successful post-merger optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT Integration Strategy: Partner with executive stakeholders to define and execute IT integration strategies that support business objectives.
  • Program Management: Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent M&A projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units, managing communications, expectations, and alignment across teams.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight: Identify and mitigate risks related to data security, regulatory compliance, and system integrity throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate efforts across IT, business operations, and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish frameworks for monitoring deliverables, reporting program health, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with Change Management and Communications teams to ensure smooth transitions in people, processes, and technology.
  • Post-Merger Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize value from integrated systems and processes.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of experience in IT project and program management, including vendor management and budget oversight
  • Proven track record managing M&A programs with 10+ projects involving complex migrations and integrations
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels
  • Experience working with cross-functional and virtual teams in fast-paced environments
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • PMP and/or PgMP certification
  • Background in process architecture, business analysis, and organizational change management
  • Experience in insurance or financial services industries
