Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Overview
We are seeking a 1 ¼” Extruder Operator to set up, run, and monitor extrusion equipment for fiber optic cable production.
You will follow set-up sheets, make machine adjustments, and ensure quality at every step of the process.
Key Responsibilities
Run and Monitor Equipment
Read set-up sheets and use file names to determine materials, adjustments, and production steps.
Set up, run, and continuously monitor the 1 ¼” extrusion line for all products.
Observe, measure, and inspect products to confirm they meet set-up sheet specifications.
Complete all required documentation accurately.
Clean equipment to prevent contamination.
Identify and Solve Problems
Recognize defects and production issues.
Assist in resolving problems or notify the supervisor as needed.
Complete non-conformity paperwork for all product defects.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines during work.
Support Team and Customers
Provide excellent service and communicate respectfully.
Build strong relationships with teammates and customers.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Six months of related experience or training preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience running production machines.
Ability to use tools and measuring devices correctly.
Proficient in reading instructions and following quality procedures.
Strong math and handwriting skills for accurate documentation.
Team player who works well independently.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
Regularly stand and walk.
Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Vision corrected to 20/20 with color recognition.
Normal hearing required for communication and safety alerts.
Moderate noise environment with exposure to moving parts, fumes, and chemicals.
