Operate machinery as directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies to produce a superior product.
Job Responsibilities
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirementsSet stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templatesObserves machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunctionReview product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirementsPerform routine machine maintenanceAssist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of productMake sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBasic understanding of electronics and programmable controllersKnowledge of the basics of hydraulics, electricity, and toolsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manualsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsMust encompass computer literacy as well as strong mechanical abilityLeadership abilities preferred What CRH Offers You
