Position: Production Machine Operator
Location: Spokane, WA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:45pm
Wage: $22.50 – $25.50/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in machine operation, manufacturing/production.
This role involves operating machinery, performing production and quality tasks, and assisting with training and supervision of staff.
Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are top priorities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Prioritize safety for yourself and fellow employees in all job functions.Operate roll forming machinery and other manufacturing equipment.Manufacture and package materials according to specifications.Perform quality checks and accurately record daily production.Load and unload materials from trucks, conveyors, racks, and pallets using appropriate tools.Supervise and train assigned assistants to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.Follow specifications and design criteria, including verbal instructions, shop orders, and drawings.
Perform standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, and machining.Identify secondary operations required for orders and communicate with the appropriate department.
Ensure drawings align with order requests.Oversee tooling and die changes.Read measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and protractors.Solve basic arithmetic problems using a calculator. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.Experience in high-volume production environments.Experience as a roll form or machine operator.Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.Experience handling long-length materials and off-loading production equipment. Skills & Competencies:
Ability to read measurements accurately with tape measures, micrometers, and protractors.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Effective oral and written communication in English.Basic arithmetic skills and calculator proficiency.Ability to work cooperatively with staff and communicate effectively. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and handling objects routinely up to 50 pounds.Work environment is a standard warehouse/production setting, with potential exposure to machine hazards, floor hazards, falling objects, and forklift operation.
