Job description

:

Level one machinists/operators, under direct supervision, load and unload parts in operation of 2-5 axis CNC/Automated mill and lathe machine tools to produce complex machined aerospace parts.

Level one machinists are responsible for in process inspection of machined product, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools and documentation.

Level one machinists are responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance, which includes coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness.

Typically, 0-2 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC Mills, Lathes, or Swiss/ Star Machines
  • Inspects produced components per blueprint using standard inspection techniques
  • Loads/unloads parts in provided work holding method per setup
  • Replaces broken cutting tools/inserts as needed
  • Deburr parts as required
  • Completes work order documentation in accordance with AS9100 quality standards
  • Light Maintenance Duty of equipment

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer use.

    Applicant should be familiar with CNC machining methods.

    Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
  • Frequently work near heavy machinery or equipment
  • Demands of a manufacturing environment
  • Required Experience:

    1-year minimum experience in industry or related field.

    Preferred certification in CNC operations.

    Level of Education:

    High school diploma/GED equivalent required.

    A minimum of at least 1 year experience in industry or related field.

    For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.50 to $25.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.

    For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.

    Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.

    Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.

    Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.

    Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.

    This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).

    To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.

    The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
