**What you'll do...**
Walmart’s Accelerated Pickup & Delivery (APD) Team is at the forefront of retail innovation, delivering the solutions needed to implement and leverage automated fulfillment systems within our stores.
This team works with a high degree of cross-functional partnership across Operations, Store support, Finance, Real Estate, Vendor Partners and more to seamlessly integrate automated and manual processes, improving both the customer and associate experience.
As a Manager, Automation Engineering, you will be a key individual contributor and the role will be based in Bentonville, Arkansas.
In this role, you will lead initiatives to design, implement, and optimize automation systems across our Store fulfillment network.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize advanced analytics, and champion continuous improvement to deliver impactful business results.
You will help unlock economic value & ROI of key engineering initiatives and be involved in the project management and governance of initiatives related to building APDs across Walmart stores.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Leverage data analysis tools to explore complex datasets, develop hypotheses, and present actionable insights to influence strategic decisions.
+ Identify, implement, and drive technology change within the scope of store fulfillment automation.
+ Use visualization tools to represent data and construct compelling stories for stakeholders.
+ Interpret information to quantify outcomes of Store fulfillment automation decisions and recommend and implement process improvements.
+ Analyze and design business processes, offering recommendations and documenting obstacles for effective implementation.
+ Support the development of business cases, ROI calculation, and recommendations for automation projects.
+ Communicate confidently and concisely with team members and business partners, presenting data-driven results and recommendations.
+ Assess tasks for automation potential and assist in analyzing space and cost requirements for automation in Stores.
+ Plan and estimate projects, manage multiple timelines, and produce standard project status reports.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and share relevant information, taking a one-team approach to achieve business goals.
+ Utilize advanced analytics to identify trends, outliers, and correlations in operational and financial data.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain
+ Proven experience in automation engineering, process design, or supply chain / store operations including delivering key metrics and financials.
+ Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, AI and visualization tools.
+ Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
+ Experience with CAD, and mechanical/electrical layout design in an Automation environment.
+ Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
