**Organization:**
SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley
**Position Overview:**
Responsible for leadership, management and monitoring of coding workflows, data management, coding staff specific to clinical documentation improvement and risk adjustment coding initiatives.
Manages the day to day operations related to Risk Adjustment Coding.
Provides oversight to the coding team.
Coordinates work with Clinical Quality Coding Analyst and Educators.
Creates and maintains a work environment that fosters and meets the mission and values of Sutter Health and promotes employee satisfaction.
This is a work from home role with some onsite requirements.
The successful candidate will live within the Sutter footprint.
**Job Description** :
**EDUCATION:**
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
+ Bachelor's: Finance, accounting, business administration, public health, healthcare administration, health information management or other related field
**CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:**
CPC-Certified Professional Coder OR CCSP-Certified Coding Specialist-Professional OR CCS-Certified Coding Specialist
**TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:**
+ 8 years recent relevant experience
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:**
+ Advanced knowledge of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) diagnosis coding conventions and requirements, knowledge of Quality Coding requirements such as the Medicare Advantage Coding Program/Hierarchical Condition Category
+ (HCC), as well as medical terminology and abbreviations of disease, illness and injury process
+ Ability to manage resources and staff within budget requirements
+ Ability to present information in one-on-one and group settings
+ Ability to communicate information in a professional and confidential manner
+ Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, self-initiative, and self-direction
+ Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
+ Ability to motivate and elevate the team
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio)

Pay Range is $60.70 to $91.05 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
