**Pay Range:** $50.68 - $85.14 per hour

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Nursing Informatics to serve as a strategic liaison between clinical nursing teams, healthcare IT, and leadership.

Position Highlights
+ Lead and oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of nursing-related health IT solutions to enhance clinician workflows and patient care.
+ Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, clinical teams, and IT professionals to align technology solutions with nursing best practices and patient safety standards.
+ Serve as a key consultant for nursing technology initiatives, ensuring evidence-based practices are integrated into system functionalities.
+ Drive the adoption and education of clinical technology, providing expertise in optimizing system usability and efficiency.
+ Represent nursing interests in health IT decision-making, ensuring technology aligns with the evolving needs of patient care and regulatory compliance.
+ Utilize shared governance to engage frontline clinicians in decision-making, fostering an inclusive approach to healthcare innovation.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Accountable for leading activities associated with the implementation, management, and change management maintenance of new and existing Nursing related software products, technical capabilities, enhanced workflows, and the educational needs associated with the use of all such features & functions.
+ Works collaborative with the D&IS teams to assist with vendor software system selection and ensure that all clinical user needs, priorities, interfaces, and changes are addressed.
+ Develops and maintains standards of care that inform evidence-based practice, quality of care, patient safety and clinician workflows.
+ Optimize clinical end user workflow and enhance clinical efficiencies through the use of available technical and process improvement tools, and acts as a resource for clinical, physician and Nursing practices to comply with and achieve clinical quality measures.
+ Provide Nursing subject matter expertise and direction in the effective use and continued growth of software features and functionalities and will assist in maintaining collaborative vendor and IT relations.
+ Utilizes the Shared Governance model to effectively include front line clinician participation in planning activities.
+ Serve as liaison among and between stakeholders, as previously outlined, in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, nursing workflows, and IT systems.
+ Keep current in Nursing clinical practice and operations, understanding business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommending solutions that enable Rush to achieve its goals.
+ Serve as an internal consultant to clinical and business departments to identify and achieve program goals as well as, balance the demands of Nursing, business units, and D&IS.
+ Coordinate the Nursing IT priorities with an intimate understanding of changing scientific evidence and maturing technology.
Position Requirements
+ Master's degree in business, informatics, nursing or other clinical specialty or related field required.
+ Eight (8) years of clinical healthcare experience required.
+ Four (4) years of progressive health care management experience is required.
+ Current state of Illinois nursing, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant licensure
+ Demonstrated effectiveness in managing, directing departmental operations and management/supervisory personnel, evaluating, training and motivating performance.
Ability to accomplish results through others.
Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively and to establish clear guidelines for accountability.
Ability to build consensus and provide strong leadership in a team environment, with the highest of professional and personal integrity.
+ Knowledge of clinical processes from the perspective of multiple disciplines.
Knowledge of clinical processes across the care continuum.
+ Highly effective communication skills are necessary to work with Medical Staff, Board of Directors, Administration/Senior Management, hospital personnel, the media, and the community.
