DESCRIPTION:
The Manager, Product Design is responsible for leading and scaling Ring.com's digital design experience, encompassing both user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
This leader will drive the visual, interaction, and experience design strategy for Ring's digital presence, ensuring cohesive interactions through innovative systems and patterns.
Working in close partnership with content design and product management leadership, they will create seamless touchpoints that connect Ring's physical and digital worlds while ensuring design solutions align with product strategy and business goals.
Through synthesis of customer insights, market trends, and business objectives, they will inform UX and UI decisions, establish scalable design systems, and drive continuous improvement in user engagement, accessibility, and conversion.
This position requires flexibility to work across multiple time zones, with regular domestic and international travel for in-person meetings, events, and workshops.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with content design and product management leadership to align design strategy with product roadmaps and business goals
- Define and scale Ring.com's design system, establishing frameworks for consistent user experiences
- Lead end-to-end design processes, driving cross-functional reviews and strategic product decisions

A day in the life
You'll lead Ring.com's product design team, aligning digital experiences with Ring's broader portfolio vision.
You'll set objectives for the design organization in partnership with product management and content design leaders, champion user-centered design thinking, and optimize customer journeys using sophisticated analytics.
Working hand-in-hand with these key partners, you'll ensure that design vision and execution are tightly integrated with product strategy and content systems.
You'll foster innovation within your team, represent Ring's design philosophy externally, and lead initiatives to create transformative digital products that enhance our smart security offerings and drive market growth.
About the team
The Creative and Design Group (CDG) is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary organization of designers, engineers, writers, researchers, product managers, and program managers working together to bring the RBKS product vision to life.
We enjoy what we do, have big ideas, and tackle complex problems by taking risks that drive global solutions.
In every work stream, we immerse ourselves in insights, and invent on behalf of our customers.
We brainstorm scenarios they will benefit from and solutions to pain points-crafting innovative products that aim to connect the physical and digital customer journey.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of design experience
- 4+ years of leading design teams experience
- Experience managing teams
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process
- Knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
- Experience with a variety of design tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, Fireworks, Visio, Axure, and Dreamweaver
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing
- Experience with agile/scrum

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $136,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
