Job description

Overview Description
Are you interested in shaping the future of the Amazon Advertiser experience?

We're on a journey to elevate our user experience through data, using customer obsessed design processes, and tools to create and iterate on innovative advertising! In this role, you'll be leading a power house advertising design team to create new and iterate on existing product offerings.
Amazon is investing heavily in building a world-class advertising business, and we’re responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service advertising products that drive discovery and sales.

We deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily, and we’re breaking fresh ground to create innovative global products.

Because successful advertising starts with a great customer experience, our team works backwards from the shopper to meet the needs of our advertising customers.
Responsibilities You are a role model, mentor, and motivator.
You bring deep expertise in UX design (frameworks, interaction models, prototypes, research).
You think big, framing designs in the context of the broader customer experience, and are equally comfortable diving deep into the details.
You present design work to partners and executive leadership for review, feedback, and sign-off.
You prioritize effectively, use data to inform your decisions, weigh the impact and tradeoffs of decisions, and seek input where needed to drive alignment.
You work closely with product and business partners to develop a shared vision and lead a process to define and design experiences that deliver on those shared objectives.
You are comfortable navigating from ambiguity to clarity, drawing upon your expertise and design process to create structure.

You proactively plan ahead, look around corners, and can see the next step (even when it doesn’t exist yet).
You develop processes that drive quality and efficiency to help designers accomplish more than what they could otherwise.
Day in the life The Manager of UX Design for the Amazon Advertiser Experience, will elevate the entire team.

You will inspire and mentor UX practitioners and partners, leading projects throughout the planning, design, and development cycle.

You are expected to think like an owner, always raise the quality of the advertiser experience, and be a relentless advocate for customers and advertisers.

You will use your organization and communication skills to bring clarity to chaos, working strategically with other team leaders and team members across the organization.
About the team As a central org, the Advertiser Design team’s charter is to act as the strategic glue across Amazon Ads.

We drive coherence, scalability, and quality within the Sponsored Ads and Demand Side Platform (DSP) advertiser experiences by making connections across experience teams, and across orgs.

We get ahead of the curve by generating creative concepts that look beyond our current roadmap and technical constraints, and we sometimes challenge the status quo and raise difficult questions.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications 6+ years of design experience
3+ years of leading design teams experience
Experience managing teams
Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement
Preferred Qualifications Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing
