Brief Position Overview
The Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship offers a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a concentration in marketing degree.
To accomplish our mission, a significant portion of our teaching faculty should have professional experience in practicing marketing.
We seek experienced marketing professionals with the ability to teach in more than one marketing area, including digital marketing, social media marketing, integrated online marketing, or technology integration in digital marketing.

General Statement
Montana State University invites experienced marketing professionals to the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship faculty as Instructors, delivering high-quality instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
We seek dedicated professionals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and can collaborate effectively with faculty and staff.
The ideal candidate will contribute to student success and academic excellence while supporting the mission of Montana State University through engaging, real-world marketing education.

The marketing option search committee or hiring authority will review and evaluate the submitted application materials until the position is filled.
Appointments are on a full- or part-time basis and may vary in duration depending on the specific needs of the program.
Salary is dependent on number of courses taught and duration.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Teach undergraduate and/or graduate marketing courses in on-campus and/or online formats, ensuring high-quality, engaging instruction.
+ Incorporate real-world applications and experiential learning to enhance student understanding of marketing principles and practices.
+ Stay current with industry trends, professional standards, and advancements in marketing education to maintain course relevance.
+ Foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
+ Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and mentor students from all backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
+ Relevant marketing certification (e.g., AMA Professional Certified Marketer (PCM®), Google Analytics Certification, HubSpot Content Marketing Certification, Digital Marketing Certification) or a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field.
+ Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in marketing.
+ Strong knowledge of current industry trends and practices in areas such as digital marketing, branding, consumer behavior, market research, or strategic marketing.
+ Commitment to experiential learning, incorporating real-world applications, case studies, and industry partnerships into teaching.
