Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting for a Marketing Systems & Data Analyst in the Marketing department.
If you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for the coordination, management, and administration of various systems/applications, databases, and activities related to customer intelligence and insights.
With the goal of deepening client relationships and growing households served, the position will perform analytical tasks, including but not limited to predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, data analysis and mining, and external data enhancement.
Able to lead and collaborate with others within the Marketing Division and on cross-functional basis.
Performs basic to complex tasks and works on special projects as assigned, working closely with other team members and with product managers for deposit and borrowing solutions.
Areas of focus:
·Oversee the development of analytical plans including proper selection of methodologies, techniques, KPIs, and metrics.
Develop and execute plans utilizing internal and external data sources in support of business decision-making and strategy development.
Partner with external vendors to facilitate analysis work.
·Build dashboards that visualize key performance indicators.
Work cross-functionally to complete market program post-mortem analyses and identify actionable insights to improve effectiveness.
·Investigate and conduct deep dives into data across all marketing channels to understand customer engagements and analyze user behaviors throughout the customer journey.
·Manage Marketing systems, including the Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF)
Vendor Liaison:Ensures full understanding and utilization of system capabilities, profitability, next product, and attrition models.
Provides feedback for upgrades, fixes, and new functionality. File Extracts and System Uploads:Responsible for monitoring and validating daily and monthly extract uploads to maintain accurate and complete information in the MCIF system. Business Process Analysis : Works with business line managers to analyze sales and business processes to enhance results and uncover automation opportunities. Management Reporting : Creates reporting to improve sales lead, pipeline, and forecasting. ·Campaign and Data Management Support: Manage and execute multi-variable and multi-channel campaigns from inception through recap reporting.
Analyze data and learnings and provide recommendations for future refinements.
Coordinate understanding of campaign performance and generate learnings to inform management decision making.
·Develop and track KPIs for all Marketing programs.
Synthesize learnings and develop recommendations.
Partner with product managers, advertising team, and sales strategy support.
·Division expert on customer data, third party appended data, and marketing reporting tools.
·Supports marketing campaigns by producing file extracts for fulfillment vendors and assures list quality.
·Identifies business opportunities through data analysis.
·Creates reports and presentations to explain results to colleagues and management.
·Collaborates with Information Technology to fill gaps in data and reporting capabilities.
Develops relationships with internal and external partners to add value to the Division and consult on a variety of projects.
·Point person on new marketing data and reporting initiatives.
·Utilize strong technical skills and solid understanding of business goals required.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s Degree is required, a master’s degree is a plus.
Background in Business Intelligence, Decision Science, Finance, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or other quantitative fields is preferable.
Minimum of six years of work experience.
Background in financial services with a Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) or similar relational database and reporting tool is desirable.
· Technical skills including expertise in Microsoft Access, Excel, Tableau, Business Objects, and Power BI, as well as knowledge of database software, and general familiarity within business intelligence tools and data visualization tools and comfort with evolving technology.
Proficiency with SQL desired.
· Experience with S&P Global Market Intelligence, Geo-Insight, integrated CRM, and marketing technology such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, or Marketo are a plus.
Advanced skills with Salesforce reporting, PowerPoint, and Visio desired.
· Quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills to find solutions to problems that are technically complex and require collection, interpretation, and analysis of data from diverse sources are required.
· The role requires a consensus builder with strong interpersonal skills who will interact with all levels of the Bank.
Ability to think big picture when analyzing data and articulate conclusions for ongoing marketing initiatives, as well as recommend additional engagement opportunities from data analysis is necessary.
· Strong communication and problem resolution skills.
Experience interacting with management and presenting analysis, conclusions, recommendations, and ROI for projects with confidence and professionalism.
· Project management experience and organization skills needed.
Ability to identify and solve problems independently in a constantly changing environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadline and with minimal supervision.
· Team player with high aptitude problem solving and leadership skills.
