The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences has an opening for a temporary, non-tenure track, part-time lecturer to teach mathematics courses.The appointment is for one semester, with the possibility of renewal for future semesters.
The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences is housed on the Auraria campus in the heart of Denver's commercial, cultural, and recreational district.
This posting is a pool for continuous faculty hires.
Review of applications will begin as positions open up and will continue until positions are filled for the semester / academic year.
**Math & Stats Lecturer**
What you will do:
+ Design and deliver courses
+ Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials
+ Design and deliver assessments, such as exams, laboratory assignments, and reports
+ Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
+ Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
**Qualifications** **you already** **possess** **(Minimum Qualifications)**
_Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire._
+ An earned master's degree in the mathematical sciences from an accredited university; OR a Master's degree in any area and 18 credit hours of graduate-level course work in the Mathematical Sciences.
**Preferred** **Qualification** **to** **possess** **(Preferred Qualifications)**
+ A record of successful teaching at the secondary or college level.
**Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements**
The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) for this position has been established at $1,615 per credit hour (lower division), $1,645 per credit hour (upper division), or $1,808 per credit hour (graduate level).
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education,specialty, and training.
The above salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is/is not eligible for overtime compensation.
