Job Title: Industrial Assembler

Job Description

We are looking for a Industrial Assembler to join our team, working in a clean shop for over 50 hours a week starting at 5 AM.

This role involves learning the assembly and build process from start to finish across various departments.

The position requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure to perform basic tasks.

Depending on your experience or education, your skills will determine your initial department placement.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Assembly: Assemble components into cabinets according to drawings or pictures.
  • Wire Assembly: Connect wires in panels, perform point-to-point wiring, and install wire harnesses.
  • Panel Building: Retrofit control panels to customer specifications, utilizing hand tools and small equipment.
  • Install wire channels according to pictures, ensuring correct placement and secure installation.
  • Conduct point-to-point wiring following diagrams, ensuring each wire is numbered correctly.
  • Add bus bars to control panels using forklifts or other machinery for heavier materials.
  • Install additional hardware to specific locations to complete control panels.
  • Apply stickers, labels, and safety signs to control panel doors.
  • Participate in mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems, with an emphasis on measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to perform repetitive labor duties while standing for the entire shift.
  • Aptitude to train and willingness to learn on the job.
  • Desire to advance in the role and take initiative.
  • Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions.
  • Experience with power tools, saws, hand tools, and screw guns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Brazing and soldering experience is a plus but can be taught.
  • Preferred experience in automotive mechanics, metal fabrication, HVAC, carpentry, industrial painting, sandblasting, powder coating, and masonry.
  • Some shop or manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Candidates with strong mechanical ability and experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant are preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
