Mechanical Design Engineer Job Opening In Shakopee – Now Hiring Copeland

If you are a Mechanical Design Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Chanhassen or Shakopee, MN locations, as a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining measurement & analytical instrumentation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Use analytical skills, reasoning, and engineering judgment to develop new and innovative products and technologies 
  • Design components including injection molded plastics, die and investment castings, stampings, machined parts, etc.

  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional project teams to ensure new designs meet internal requirements and industry standards 
  • Support prototype construction, laboratory testing, and agency testing during the product design cycle 
  • Apply sound engineering practices to solve quality issues 
  • Provide continuation engineering support for existing products 
  • Interact with software, electrical, manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, sales, and customers on technical matters 
  • Identify and implement product and process cost reductions and improvements
