Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer with healthcare design experience in our Macon, Georgia and in our Atlanta, Georgia office.
Minimum Requirements are: · Associates Degree in Drafting or Design · 2 years of Mechanical or HVAC design experience · Must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD Preferred Requirements are: · 4 years of Mechanical or HVAC design experience · Bachelor’s Degree · Completed work requirements and passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) · Engineer in Training (EIT) This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is (A): · Adaptable/flexible – The work requires frequent shifts in direction and goals · Detail Oriented – Ability to focus on details rather than the big picture · Independent – Enjoys work with little direction · Humble – Willing to admit that they do not know and comfortable asking questions · Stress Tolerant – Thrives in high pressure environments · Team Oriented – Enjoys working on a team with personal goals · Sleuth – Enjoys discovery through research · Process Oriented – Understands and enjoys increment achievement · Problem Solver – Enjoys puzzles and strategy Job Responsibilities: · HVAC design, sizing, and layout of piping, ductwork, and equipment.
· Perform calculations related to systems.
· Correspond and communicate with senior engineers and project managers.
· Work as a team member to conceptualize a design.
· Obtain a working level of codes and standards governing building design, specifically as they relate to the healthcare industry.
