**What You Will Do:**

We have an opportunity for a MCL Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA.

The schedule for this position is weekday over nights, Mon-Thurs (onsite role).

Mechanical Testing:

+ Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
+ Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
+ Sort priorities as needed
+ Operate multiple creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for Specimen destructive testing
+ Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
+ Log testing data in UGA (as needed)
+ Maintain required log books
+ Check/ validate testing accuracy

Other Responsibilities:

+ Perform 6s each shift
+ Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
+ Complete all training within the expected time given

**Qualifications You Must Have:**

+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift.

Overtime may be required.
+ Two (2) or more years’ experience in a production environment and/or quality.
+ U.S. Citizenship is required
+ Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment.

**Qualifications We Value:**

+ Two to five years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment.
+ Technical degree preferred.
+ Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
+ Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
+ Good organizational skills.

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
