Hatch is currently seeking Mechanical/Piping Interns to join our Mechanical team in Tampa, FL.
The position will allow candidates to be involved in all aspects of equipment specification, evaluation, selection, purchase, and information analysis & distribution.
Interns will be assigned to work closely with experienced engineers who will provide guidance and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing engineering calculations such as hydraulic modeling, stress analysis, equipment sizing and tank and ensuring that all analyses satisfy user and system requirementsPrepare technical specifications based on input receivedPrepare data sheets based on input receivedPrepare and/or review project standard specifications and design criteriaPrepare or provide input to 2D mechanical drawingsPrepare and update engineering lists Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scaleStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teamsCommitment to achieving engineering excellenceAbility to apply technical knowledge to various practical problemsA desire to learn and continually developStrong personal commitment to safetyPrevious Co-op or Summer Student experience an asset
