Mechatronics Engineer, Android Camera and Media

**Minimum qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 3 years of experience designing and testing mixed mechanical/electrical systems such as robotics systems.
+ Experience designing mixed-mechanical electrical systems using Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
+ Experience in computer interfacing and programming (e.g., Linux and Python).

**Preferred qualifications:**

+ Master’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
+ 1 year of experience in designing mixed electrical/mechanical systems for automated testing.
+ Experience with Design of Test Systems for Commercial Products.
+ Experience in testing cameras or audio systems.
+ Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design.
+ Knowledge of audio systems or cameras.

We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer who is interested in diving into audio/camera/media technology and Android OS development.

Projects will include building new audio/camera/media test capabilities and test automation.Android is Google’s mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

**Responsibilities**

+ Analyze reliability issues in existing android test hardware and resolve issues.
+ Maintain relationships with international hardware manufacturers and problem solve supply chain and production issues.
+ Design next generation mixed mechanical/electrical audio/camera/media test hardware.
+ Keep up on next generation test hardware systems, specifically robotics to advise future directions for team.
+ Maintain good open-source documentation of all systems to support Android partners.
