**Shift D** **etails: Part-Time**

**Unit/Location: Utah County and Heber/Park City Float Pool**

**Additional Details:** Our float pool teams are responsible for providing coverage to InstaCare, primary care clinics, and specialty clinics.

Hours are dependent on the clinic they are covering each day.

Typical hours are from 750AM to 8PM for InstaCares (also open weekends and holidays) or 8AM to 5PM for clinics.

With full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts, we are sure to have something that fits your busy schedule.

Our flexible scheduling is great for students and those looking for life balance.

Schedules are set in advance, although there may be last-minute coverage needs that arise from time to time due to illness or emergent situations.

Float pool caregivers are expected to work the entire requested shift, usually 8-12 hours, and not partial shifts.

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:

+ **Providing Patient Care:** Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient’s visit and condition.
+ **Effective Communication:** Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
+ **Team Collaboration:** Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care.

Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification must be provided upon hire)
+ Or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)
+ Or current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state
+ Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Must be obtained prior to start date
+ Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
+ Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
+ Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers.

+ Utah Only: If certified with less than one year of MA experience, caregivers may attend a yearlong MA residency program

**Preferred** **Qualifications**

+ Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
+ Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.

+ Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA

Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$19.87 - $28.31
