The Memory Program Coordinator in Training program is an excellent opportunity for an Educator, Social Worker, Rec Therapist or other human services professional eager to enter the thriving field of Senior Living.

You will learn to supervise our award winning signature memory enrichment programs and manage our dedicated team of dementia caregivers and activity professionals.

This is a hands-on position in our fast paced memory care community with opportunity for growth.

THE BELMONT VILLAGE DIFFERENCE

The goal of the Memory Program Coordinator in Training program is to successfully prepare trainees for their first management role as a Memory Program Coordinator within our senior living communities.

This position requires advanced critical thinking skills and a high level of engagement with dementia residents, their families and our employees.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Completing dementia management and leadership training under the direction of an assigned Memory Program Coordinator 
  • Assisting in the management of the dementia care and programs department including supervision and training of caregivers and activity professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting cognitive assessments.
  • Planning, organizing and facilitating specialized activities to promote resident socialization, growth, learning, and development
  • Participating in the recruitment and training process for dementia caregivers and activity professionals
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to maintain customer satisfaction
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 1 year experience facilitating groups as an Educator or professional experience working with aging adults or special needs populations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24 hour operation including early mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility to commute or relocate following the training program is strongly preferred
