Responsibilities Architect, design, simulate and validate mechanical integrity of microelectronic devices and systems.
Mechanical simulation to provide structural, BOM, stackup and process recommendation from design, prototype, qualification to production stages, for example, warpage, stress-strain, solder joint reliability Material database development and characterization to support advanced microelectronics architecture and materials selection, for example, bending test, static and dynamic mechanical analysis, failure analysis Qualifications Minimal 5 years experience in Mechanical engineering or equivalent, strong solid mechanics background is a must-have.
Strong hands on experience in Commercial FEA or FVM software such as ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, Icepak or FLUENT Programming skillsets using Python, Matlab for numerical models and data analysis using libraries such as numpy, scipy and pandas is nice-to-have.
Mechanical characterization and failure analysis such as bending test, dynamic mechanical analysis, cross section, X ray etc.
Working knowledge of advanced IC packaging, assembly, qualification, design, signal and power integrity, thermal and power performance - a huge plus.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
