Job description

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce.

These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members.

During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.

NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program.

This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for managing a project of moderate visibility and complexity.

This role can be leveraged in a Control Account Manager capacity on a larger program with many deliverables or be inward facing or assigned to a more complex internal program.

Under the general supervision of either a portfolio manager or a program manager, this position oversees multiple projects or one larger project.

In addition to the duties of a project manager I, the project manager II is responsible for assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.

The position may communicate with a senior project manager, functional area manager, or program manager regarding the status of specific projects.

You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; identify needed resources for projects; and interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: proposal development, planning, scope, definition, design, execution, delivery, and project closeout.

You will track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to stakeholders.

The Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems.

IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

**Qualifications You Must Have:**

+ Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
+ Typically 4+ years of progressive experience in project management roles and/or in related or technical fields
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
+ Demonstrated experience in managing a complex project with multi-function team
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules
+ Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Cleaerance

**Qualifications We Prefer:**

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
+ Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
+ Experience with risk management planning and documentation
+ Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution
+ Experience in resource planning and management during project execution
+ Knowledge of Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing principles
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & CMMI process standards
+ Familiarity with government contracting and regulations
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22.

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
