Job description

JT4 is hiring an onsite Network LAN/WAN Technician for their Las Vegas, NV location.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Experience with design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network and telecom equipment and systems.

  • Performs as network lead on network field engineering assignments.

  • Requires experience across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies.

  • Strong understanding of WAN/LAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructure.

  • Ability to design and implement solutions in accordance with commercial network standards.

  • Experience with network layers 2/3

  • Experience with commercial carrier services and managing the system interconnects.

  • Ability to manage, troubleshoot and repair physical logical network infrastructure.
  • REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the specialty field are required for this position.
  • In addition, a Field Engineer III must possess the following qualifications:

  • Practical knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of networking that enable performance in routine to more complex installation and maintenance activities.

  • Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply technical knowledge of computer networking and data transport to solve problems in the specialty area.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Planning/organizational skills.


  • Must be a US Citizen




  • Must possess a valid, state issued driver's license.




  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.


  • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Cisco, Ciena or similar LAN/WAN hardware
  • SALARY


    The expected salary range for this position is $76K to $108K annually.Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
