**Dynamic Exposure:** Immerse yourself in our business units, including Human Resources, Revenue Management, Communications, Finance and Accounting, IT, and Marine Operations.

**Hands-On Experience:** Over 10 weeks, you'll actively contribute to impactful projects, challenge and enhance processes, and gain firsthand insights into our daily operations.

**Key Details:**

**Hybrid Program:** This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida.

Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work.

This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week.

While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

**Relocation Support:** Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.

**Eligibility:** Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.

**Technical Requirements:** Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

**Department Summary**

The Mobile Engineering team at Carnival Cruise Line is responsible for building and maintaining mobile applications that enhance the guest experience and streamline operations.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, user-friendly mobile solutions that support both guests and crew throughout their journey.

We collaborate closely with design, backend, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and performance across platforms.

**Internship Project Summary**

**Project Title:** Enhancing Guest Experience through HubApp Features
**Objective:** The intern will contribute to the development of new features and improvements within the Carnival Hub iOS/Android app.

This includes working on UI enhancements, performance optimizations, and integrating APIs to support real-time guest experience.
**Impact:** The intern’s work will directly influence the mobile experience of thousands of guests, helping to deliver a smoother, more engaging cruise experience.

**Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)**

Assist in developing and testing new iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI or Android features using Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.

Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement intuitive user interfaces.

Debug and resolve issues to improve app stability and performance.

Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.

Document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Support integration of RESTful APIs and backend services.

**Learning Outcomes**

Gain hands-on experience in native iOS/Android development within a large-scale consumer app.

Learn best practices in mobile architecture, UI/UX design, and agile development.

Develop skills in debugging, testing, and performance optimization.

Understand how mobile technology supports operations in the cruise industry.

**Specific Qualifications**

**Skills:** Strong foundation in Swift/Kotlin, SwiftUI/Jetpack Compose and iOS/Android frameworks; problem-solving mindset.

**Preferred Experience:** Coursework or personal projects in mobile app development.

**Technical:** Familiarity with Xcode/Android Studio, SwiftUI/Jetpack Compose, Git, and RESTful APIs.

**Soft Skills:** Effective communication, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment.
