Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part-Time Monitor/Telemetry Technician at Chilton Medical Center.
Required hours are 3:00PM-11:00PM including every other weekend.
Starting rate $20.05/hr.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
+ Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances.
+ Observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm.
+ Informs supervisor or General Duty Nurse of variances to initiate examination of patient.
+ Measures length and height of patient's heart rhythm pattern on graphic tape readout, using calipers, and posts information on patient records.
+ Answers calls for assistance from patients and inquiries concerning patients from medical staff.
+ Prepares documentation regarding evaluation results, progress reports, and personalized treatment plans.
+ May perform relevant duties as needed.
Requirements:
+ HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
+ Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course required.
+ Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
+ To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
+ Must be able to pass telemetry pre-test.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association preferred or will obtain through AHS within 3 months of hire date.
Relevant Experience:
+ Current Monitor Tech experience and/or recent clinical experience preferred.
