This is a part time position working 20 hours per week during core business hours, 8AM - 5PM.
The candidate will be working onsite initially and then will convert to a hybrid schedule.<br /><br />**The max rate for -/hour.<br><br><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify;"><font size="2" style="" face="tahoma">The primary purpose of this position is to help design, develop, enhance, maintain, and support client/server computer applications developed in-house for the department in an interactive team environment.
In this role, this person will provide expertise, leadership, guidance, programming skills, training, and support to other team members in developing automated solutions to challenges in the department.
This person will be responsible for analyzing existing and potential applications to determine the feasibility of projects, provide accurate time and cost estimates, define and quantify potential benefits to the department and the state, and help develop and implement the solutions.
In addition to fulfilling these responsibilities for the existing SOSKB application, the person in this position will be responsible for developing the necessary SOS application functionality in support of the NC Remote Electronic Notarization Act (RENA).</font></p> <p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify;"><font size="2" face="tahoma">This person will manage, design, develop, and support new computer applications using Microsoft Project Manager, modern client/ server computer programming languages (such as C#), modern relational database products (such as MS-SQL), Web-enabling applications and databases using c#, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5 Asp.Net MVC, Javascript, JQuery, Windows Desktop, and Windows Server.</font></p> <p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify;"><font size="2" face="tahoma">MINIMUM QUALIFICASIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
