Location: Charlotte, NC & Surrounding Areas (Hybrid)Salary: Based on Experience & Industry Knowledge


About the Role:


We are seeking a Construction Estimator / Project Manager with experience in the industry to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering background and a strong work ethic, ready to put in the hours needed to ensure successful project execution.


This role is a hybrid position, with estimating and takeoff work primarily done remotely, while the project management responsibilities will require on-site presence at new construction projects within an hour of Charlotte (Mecklenburg and surrounding counties).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret construction plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.

  • Perform material takeoffs and cost estimates for paving and asphalt projects.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.

  • Oversee site operations to ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements.

  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and suppliers to facilitate project progression.

  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions to maintain efficiency.

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in reading plans, estimating, or project management in the paving, asphalt, or construction industry.

  • Civil engineering background preferred (strong industry knowledge will be considered in lieu of a degree).

  • Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently on estimates and collaboratively on-site with project teams.

  • Willingness to put in the necessary time and effort to drive projects to success.
  • Work Environment:

  • Hybrid role: Remote for estimating & takeoff work, on-site for project management.

  • Projects are located within 1 hour of Charlotte (Mecklenburg & surrounding counties).
