POSITION: Lecturer in Music.
The Department of Music invites applications for a pool of prospective part-time teaching appointments to teach lower and upper division music education courses and specialized instrument lessons.
Candidates are encouraged to indicate their specialty as well as their teaching experience.
This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding and need.
A Master’s degree in Music is required.
Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred.

Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, the university offers a competitive benefits package.
Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule; others are normally placed in Range 2.
Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range.
The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments per full semester.

The Department of Music at California State University Stanislaus is one of three divisions within the School of the Arts in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and is a member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
The department has eight full-time and approximately seventeen part-time faculty who teach in modern, well-equipped facilities.
It provides instruction in general education courses and offers degree programs including Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts in Music with concentrations in music education; instrumental, jazz, keyboard and vocal performance; composition; music technology; and general music.
Facilities include a 10-station Music Technology lab and the 315-seat Bernell and Flora Snider Music Recital Hall.
