Job description

Job Title: Non-IT Project Analyst (6-Month Contract)



Location: Naperville, IL (Hybrid – 3+ days in office, flexibility for remote work)



Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM



Pay Rate: $20–$24/hour (W2)



 



Role Overview



Client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Analyst to support business operations and product/service initiatives.

This is a business analysis-focused role, ideal for professionals with strong Excel and analytical skills who enjoy working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.



The analyst will assist in reviewing data, identifying exceptions, providing recommendations, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in business processes.

This is not a project leadership or forecasting role.



 



Key Responsibilities




  • Analyze audit exceptions, perform corrections, and recommend solutions.

  • Conduct research, review, analysis, and monitoring of new or revised products/services.

  • Serve as a liaison with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Compile and analyze data for assigned projects and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Estimate costs and potential cost savings based on analysis.

  • May supervise a small team of project staff for specific tasks.

  • Troubleshoot moderately complex issues using available tools and reports.

  • Make independent best practice recommendations for daily operational and pricing topics.



 



Tools & Systems (Desired but Not Required)




  • Contract Management systems

  • Pricing tools (Excel-based or other)

  • Universal Pricing Gateway (UPG / UPG-RE Manager)

  • Transaction Manager and related troubleshooting

  • Error and Deviation Reporting tools

  • UPG Rules Report, Activation Report, Audit Report, PRT



 



Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3–5 years of related experience in business analysis, operations, or pricing support

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to identify exceptions, analyze data, and make recommendations

  • Must live in Illinois



 



Preferred Qualifications




  • Knowledge of finance, pricing, or banking operations

  • Experience troubleshooting transaction systems or reporting tools

  • Exposure to contract or product management processes

  • Hybrid/flexible schedule with in-office expectation of 3+ days/week
