Non-Teaching Adjunct - (College Now Program)
**GENERAL DUTIES**
Completes non-teaching projects or complex work in support of a Campus or University administrative or academic department.

This work is generally of a temporary nature and requires specialized experience or expertise.

**CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION**
Kingsborough Community College's College Now Programs seeks Non-Teaching Adjuncts to work with on-site administrators at high schools to serve as the College Now liaison to the school principal and Kingsborough Community College's College Now Directors and staff.
Non-teaching adjunct is responsible for all aspects of student management including recruitment, registration, orientation, programming, attendance and persistence, and supervises all staff who work in the College Now program at the high schools including College Now Counselor, On-Site Representative, Visiting Coordinators and Faculty.
Non-teaching adjuncts work 15-20 hours per week.
A.

Liaison to the High School Principal and Kingsborough Community College's College Now Directors
+ Establish program parameters with the Principal and College Now Directors, such as course offerings, student withdrawal policy, high school grading policy.
+ Serves as the primary source of information about the program's operations for the Principal and College Now Directors
+ Prior to each semester, works with the Principal and College Now Directors to determine the courses to be offered, faculty needs and when and where College Now classes will meet; approves and files a copy of the official teaching schedule for each term with the Principal and College Now Directors
+ Works with high school staff to identify staffing needs for College Now faculty and Counselor vacancies, including faculty who will be taking sabbatical leave or retiring from the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS).

Will also be required to inform faculty of the paperwork required by the NYCPS and Kingsborough Community College
+ Attends annual fall and/or spring PC planning meetings held at Kingsborough Community College by the College Now Directors and informs Principals about program activities
+ Requests materials and equipment from the College needed to run the program; accepts delivery of such materials and ensures proper distribution, storage and security of the items; establishes faculty access to all College Now items; maintains inventory, reports missing items to the College and oversees the return of student textbooks and/or payment for lost books
+ Meets with College Now Directors at the high school to prepare recruitment, registration and orientation activities for new currently enrolled students who wish to continue in the program
+ Ensures that an IEP for any student with special needs who participates in the program is forwarded to the College Now Directors in a timely manner;works with College Now Counselor and teachers of students with IEP to ensure that the students receive appropriate services
+ Provides College Now Directors with materials needed to conduct an annual analysis of the program such as rank order lists of senior students used to determine the grade point average of College Now students, results from Math and English Regents used to determine the effect of College Now coursework on student achievement levels

Coordinator of Special College Now Activities
+ Coordinates an annual search for the Kingsborough College Now Certificate of Achievement Award winner in accord with guidelines specified by the College and ensures that the award is delivered at the high school's Senior Awards Ceremony
+ Identifies students to serve on the College Now Student Ambassador by following guidelines distributed each year by the College
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree required.
**COMPENSATION**
$47.42 per hour.
**BENEFITS**
