Position Description
TheCollege of Health Professions (https://www.health.txst.edu/) seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in the Department of Respiratory Care.

For information about the department visit the Department of Respiratory Care website.

Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach courses per semester.

Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis.

Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon completion of annual mandatory training modules and satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school/program need.

Successful candidates may teach at the Round Rock campuses, in hospitals and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters.

Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists.

Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

Positions are subject to availability of funds.

Required Qualifications
Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
