Disability Service Center is looking for a consistent and reliable note taker for the current semester.
Must have daytime availability with 5-20 hours of work per week depending on student needs.
Hours determined on a semester-to-semester basis.
Legible handwriting and strong spelling/English skills preferred.
**This is a pooled position.
Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available.
After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications High school diploma required.
Some college experience preferred.
Completion of English 1010, or equivalent, preferred.
Applicants should have a history of taking comprehensive and quality notes for themselves in high school and/or college.
Experience taking notes for others is beneficial, but not required.
Applicants must have clear and legible handwriting.
Strong spelling/English skills are preferred.
Applicants should be able to identify main points and sub points from a lecture-based course and be comfortable synthesizing information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
Applicants must be dependable, consistently on time, and be able to work with little supervision.
Must maintain confidentiality regarding the people/classes assigned to work with.
Preferred Qualifications Some college experience preferred.
Completion of English 1010, or equivalent, preferred.
