**What You Will Do**
Bachelors prepared nurse who applies clinical expertise in evidence-based nursing practice within a specialty area and functions as clinical expert and educator.
Leadership skills (system thinker and change agent) are role assumptions.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
+ 2 Years recent pertinent clinical experience.
+ California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing
+ AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
+ ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
+ NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Various-Employee provides certificate
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Master's program.
+ Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center -PREFERRED
**Other Qualification Requirements**
+ NIHSS is required within 90 days of hire.Certification in specialty area of practice highly desired.

+ EducatorAssist nursing personnel in identifying learning needs and planning activities to meet those needs.Systematically plans and evaluates overall nursing staff development in response to health care trends, regulatory requirements and organizational strategic priorities.Uses evidence-based educational frameworks when designing, implementing and evaluating educational initiatives.Educates staff on new or advanced application of skills.Conducts and communicates comprehensive evaluation of the impact of educational activities on learner, patient and organization.
