The Crown Institute (https://apptrkr.com/get_redirect.php?id=6597721&targetURL=https://www.colorado.edu/crowninstitute/) at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks to hire two tenure-track or tenured faculty members to advance our mission of promoting the mental health and wellness of children and young people and/or the adults who support them.
We seek exceptional scholars whose research, teaching, and community engagement will strengthen the Crown Institute's interdisciplinary profile and extend our impact locally, nationally, and globally.
Each faculty member will be rostered in the Crown Institute, with tenure-track / tenure homes in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, the School of Education, or related unit, based on the discipline of the most qualified candidate.
Institute faculty contribute disciplinary expertise and are members of a community of interdisciplinary scholars and practitioners dedicated to advancing innovative research and translating discoveries into practice and policy.

**Who We Are**
The Crown Institute is an interdisciplinary research institute committed to promoting the mental health and wellness of children and young people and the adults who support them.
We partner across disciplines, for example, with the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, the Leeds School of Business, the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information, and the School of Education, among others.
Our research focuses on practices, programs, and policies that foster wellness among children and youth, families and caregivers, and educators.
Our research demonstrates a commitment to collaborative, participatory, and asset-based approaches and to advancing access to mental health and wellness for all young people and the adults who support them.
Our focus on young people includes early childhood to emerging adulthood.
Settings for research include schools, community organizations, health care organizations, neighborhoods, and communities.
Areas of research of interest in the Crown Institute include the prevention of depression, anxiety, and suicidality among youth, promotion of positive body image, nature-based interventions, and the role of digital ecosystems (e.g., social media, online learning, artificial intelligence), and emerging technologies in youth mental health and wellness.
Approaches to promoting mental health and wellness include contemplative practices such as mindfulness and compassion, peer-to-peer approaches, and edutainment, among others, as well as centering youth voice and collective agency.
Also of interest is research focused on supporting the adults in young people's lives.
Areas of interest include supporting educators in practices of compassion and dignity for themselves and their students and creating compassionate classroom and school environments.
Research focused on maternal and parent mental health and parenting also is of interest.
New faculty would add value through synergizing with ongoing work and/or developing new and complementary areas of research.
We are interested in interventions at a broad range of levels as well as implementation science at scale.
Core commitments of researchers in the Crown Institute include working in partnership with families, educators, young people, and community members and focusing on equitable access to mental health and wellness supports.
**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
Institute faculty will be expected to carry out research, teaching, and service.
+ Research expectations include developing an active program of research that includes projects located in Colorado, seeking extramural funding, mentoring graduate students, and supporting the development and maintenance of partnerships with young people, educators, and/or families and the institutions that serve them.
+ Teaching responsibilities will be negotiated with the appropriate departments.
+ Service responsibilities will include taking on a leadership role in the Institute, including outreach and communications that contribute to the scholarly community, engagement with campus and community partners, and the national profile of the Crown Institute.

**What We Can Offer**
+ Faculty Level Salary Range
+ Assistant Professor: $100,000 - $115,000
+ Associate Professor: $110,000 - $125,000
+ Full Professor: $120,000 - $150,000
+ Moving assistance and startup funds may be offered to the successful candidates.
