The Department of Physics and Astronomy in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenured/tenure-track, Assistant/Associate/Professor position in Astronomy to begin September 1, 2026.

The Department of Physics & Astronomy has about 20 faculty, with research clusters in astrophysics, condensed matter physics and particle physics, and additional activity in biophysics and physics education research.

It offers BS, MS and PhD degrees.
