The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets.

Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure .

SPA has an immediate need for an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst to support DARPA's Commercial Strategy team onsite in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
The candidate will conduct open-source research and analysis to assess investor prospects, managers, advisors, and affiliates supporting advanced technology initiatives.
Focus is on identifying financial, reputational, and national security risks, including potential adversarial activity, to protect portfolio integrity and program security.
This position will apply a blend of financial expertise and OSINT tradecraft to support rigorous due diligence and risk monitoring.
Collect and evaluate open-source data to assess investor suitability, and perform continuous vetting of associated parties and monitoring for red flags.
Develop and refine OSINT methodologies specific to financial, reputational, and national security risk assessment.
Prepare risk assessment reports and briefings, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Analyze venture, private, and growth equity transactions, as well as private credit transactions.
Analyze investors in various public and private transactions.
Analyze the interplay between investors, board members, board observers, and the various contractual rights held by those parties in the context of financing transactions.
