Summary/objective: The Operations Engineer II role oversees maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, and repairs of network issues, and infrastructure, including cloud and on-prem hosted environments.
Candidates will provide creative solutions in close collaboration with key business & technology partners, develop and implement new processes to prevent future maintenance needs, and employ continual improvement processes to identify areas of improvement and streamlining.
A vital technical position, and our ideal candidate has at least three years of professional experience in a role related to information technology and operations.
Candidates should have experience with ITIL / ITSM servicing and understand the tiered servicing, support, and delivery methodologies.

Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
Expert knowledge and experience administering servers in domain environment including installing, troubleshooting, and configuring DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, User/Group administration, auditing event logs.
MCTS or MCITP Certification a plus.
Experience with VMware and vSphere Infrastructure, solid understanding of virtualization concepts.
Knowledge and experience with Windows 10, Server 2012R2/16, Microsoft Office, Exchange
Strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BS) in computer science and/or related experience
5-7 years of experience
• Network administration experience (LAN/WAN connectivity, network architecture, network security concepts, firewall administration, remote connectivity (VPN), subnetting, wireless networking, managed switches, QoS, VLANs, TCP/IP concepts).
Experience with MS SQL Server administration and SQL language a plus.
Experience with network and systems monitoring tools such as Solarwinds a plus.
Experience with Linux a plus.
Experience with cloud-based backup methods and tools.
SAN technology experience, iscsi and fc knowledge.
Experience working with third party hosting services
Customer service focus and communication skills a must
Ability to quickly assess problems and execute a viable plan of action
Strong communication skills (oral and written) required
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
