The Operations Materials Supervisor is responsible for managing materials and the Label Room ensuring that materials are available for Bottling Operations.
Duties include coordinating and directing Materials and Label Room Operators to achieve scheduled production, monitor and update quality standards and government regulations, assign & train personnel for production, and recommend improvements.

This facility has 9 production lines that produce ~10 million cases of various spirits annually.
Meets and exceeds customer expectations through management of the Materials Department to deliver product on time within budget and to meet quality specifications
Oversee Material Requirements Planning (MRP” inventory management of incoming component materials.
Be the expert resident in MRP management for proper MRP transmission to supplier and training of team members
Supervise receipt, proper storage of components, first-in-first-out (FIFO), and Inventory turns in support of the department.
Confirm information is recorded accurately in company systems for accurate inventory records
Maintain MRP parameters and review MRP demand for accuracy.
Look forward for incoming inventory quantities and plan for space availability.
Review incoming materials to meet the needs of the department and bottling lines to ensure no downtime occurs due to materials
Meet internal customer requirements by ensuring daily deliveries are verified, material inventory records are up to date, and information is communicated in a timely manner to ensure no loss of production.
Provide exceptional customer service between vendors and the Company.
Oversee and assist Purchasing to release and schedule materials.
Reduce trans loading of materials causing double handling due to limited on site storage space.
Be an active participant with the NBD team regarding new products by approving new component setup and specification for Barton 1792
Train and supervise direct reports to improve skills and performance.
Evaluate employee performance and skill level to determine skill improvement needs and development
Lead the team in finding improvement in cost savings across the materials department.
Review ways of improvement to the processes.
Review expenditure needs for improvements to the department to meet the department and company goals
Monitors and enforces all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies.
Leads the safety programs for the Materials department through development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize the occurrence and severity of workplace accidents.
Assists in the investigation of EH&S incidents.
Ensure all Materials Operations meet regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA and TTB regulations
Develops and maintains positive relationship with the Union, manage Step 1 process and participate in Step 2 grievance meetings
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Strong analytical and technical skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Proven root cause analysis and problem-solving training, techniques, and tools
Well versed in collaborating with production, quality, and safety leadership to achieve operational goals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
5+ years relevant experience
Master's Degree in related field
Familiar with beverage processing and its associated equipment
Supervisory experience
You should be proficient in:
