Job Description Job Description Mission Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a 100% Tribally owned, Native American SBA 8(a) small business of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP).
WFS is part of a portfolio of companies managed by Waséyabek Development Company, LLC, a 100% Tribally owned economic development firm focused on income diversification on behalf of NHBP that reaches beyond gaming is a well-funded, experienced small business, with substantial liquid assets and experience in federal contracting.
WFS has borrowing capacity to meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award support, and operational working capital.
WFS is well-versed in federal contract compliance and providing outstanding support services.
Position Summary WFS is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Cost Estimator to join our team.
In this role, you'll serve as a key member of the business capture team and technical expert in estimating, creating competitive cost build-up strategies for short- and long-term Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects.
Working with a wide variety of business group managers, principal estimators, project/construction managers and project teams you'll deliver accurate project estimates based on your experience, by reviewing and contributing to the interpretation of the request for proposal or project contracts, identifying risk areas and participating in mitigation planning.
You'll also develop and execute the strategy and plan for estimating activities that considers and supports the overall proposal strategy or project requirements; provide consistency between the project estimate, project breakdown framework, and project schedule; estimate cost and cumulative impact of proposed changes; and support procurement by contributing to cost analysis and “should cost” for subcontractor pricing to determine whether pricing is fair and reasonable Responsibilities Serve as leader and technical expert in estimating for short- and long-term Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects.
Create cost build-up budgets and integrate with pricing strategies for O&M projects.
Deliver accurate project estimates by reviewing and interpreting requests for proposals or project contracts.
Identify cost-risk areas and participate in mitigation planning.
Develop and execute the strategy and plan for estimating activities to support the overall proposal strategy or project requirements.
Provide consistency between the project cost estimate, project cost breakdown framework, and project schedule.
Estimate cost and cumulative impact of proposed changes.
Support procurement by contributing to cost analysis for subcontractor pricing.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent) or equivalent experience in the Operations and Maintenance space Five (5) years of progressive project experience in operations and maintenance of sites or the augmentation of staff on sites Ability to travel 25% of the time.
Valid passport.
Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license with no major infractions.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Federal contracts Excellent oral and technical written communications Self-motivation and team-oriented work practices Strong technical problem-solving skills Detail oriented Commercial experience within the municipal services outsourcing market Extensive knowledge of methods to reduce utility operating costs through efficiency in energy consumption, chemical addition, staffing strategies, solids disposal, etc.
