Oracle Database Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of database solutions using Oracle technologies.<br />
<br />
Key responsibilities typically include:<br />
Database Design and Development:<br />
- Designing logical data models and translating them into physical schema designs for Oracle databases.<br />
- Creating and managing database objects such as tables, views, indexes, sequences, and synonyms.<br />
- Developing and optimizing PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.<br />
- Writing and tuning complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.<br />

Performance and Optimization:<br />
- Performing query tuning and database performance optimization.<br />
- Troubleshooting and resolving database-related performance issues.<br />
- Implementing and managing indexing strategies and partitioning techniques.<br />

Data Management and Security:<br />
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices.<br />
- Developing and implementing data backup, recovery plans, and procedures.<br />
- Managing database security and access controls.<br />

Collaboration and Support:<br />
- Collaborating with application developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate database solutions and ensure seamless application functionality.<br />
- Providing technical and functional support for Oracle-based applications and systems.<br />
- Participating in code reviews, system testing, and deployment processes.<br />

Automation and Documentation:<br />
- Developing and maintaining scripts for automation and data processing (e.g., using Unix Shell Scripting, Python).<br />
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for database designs, procedures, and processes.<br />

Required Skills and Qualifications:<br />
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.<br />
- Experience with Oracle database versions (e.g., Oracle 12c, 19c).<br />
- Understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.<br />
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.<br />
- Familiarity with database security principles and best practices.<br />
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.<br />
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.<br />
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is often required. </p>
