About the Role
As a Group Creative Director, you’ll move between big-picture thinking and in-the-weeds execution.

That means directing the flow of work, guiding talented creatives, and stepping in when needed to drive things forward.

It’s a role that demands agility, clarity, and the ability to zoom out for strategic oversight while staying sharp in the details.

At Global Studio, the Group Creative Director is a “player-coach.” You’ll lead from within, steering the team toward standout work while staying hands-on with creative development and production.

You’re part strategist, part maker, and all-in on building campaigns that work across digital, social, upper-funnel, and TV.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead multi-disciplinary teams, has a proven track record with global campaigns, and creates work that feels native to the platforms it lives on.

If your portfolio blends cinematic spots, smart digital work, and strong design, we want to see it.
Responsibilities

Lead concepting and execution across everything from brand films to bite-sized social.
Ensure all creative output aligns with Amazon’s design system and narrative tone of voice (Charm and Disarm).
Leverage proprietary AI tools to generate assets in diverse formats and sizes at scale.
Develop messaging, visual identities, and branding for internal and external programs.
Lead, mentor, and develop creative directors and teams, encouraging innovation and excellence.
Campaign Development:
Build brand campaigns from the ground up.

Think globally, act locally, and ensure work holds up at scale.
Deliver creative tailored to its channel—TVCs, native social, and effective digital work.
Client Interaction and Collaboration:
Collaborate with Global Studio’s local leadership, account leads, strategists, and producers for seamless execution.
Participate in daily stand-ups with Global Studio teams to maintain alignment and momentum.
Act as a key ambassador for Global Studio in customer interactions, presenting ideas and concepts with clarity and impact.
Strategy and Planning:
Partner with Strategy Directors to develop impactful creative strategies aligned with Global Studio’s vision and Amazon’s market needs.
Support the development of clear, actionable briefs in collaboration with Strategy, Account teams, and client PMs.
Ensure all creative output reflects Amazon’s brand standards and strategic goals.
Innovation and Creativity:
Work on campaigns from idea to execution with storytelling that works across regions while honoring local nuances.
Push for smarter, faster workflows by leveraging GS AI Flow to reduce repetitive tasks.
Team Leadership and Growth:
Direct and mentor local teams that include a creative director, designer, strategist, copywriter, account lead, and producer.
Operate across time zones and cultures to resonate ideas globally.
Manage freelance talent as needed and foster a tight-knit, agile team culture focused on clarity, creativity, and collaboration.
Customer Relations and Business Growth:
Lead and collaborate with GS Executives, Accounts, and CDs on pitches and organic new business development; contribute creatively as needed.
Hands-on contribution during critical pitches to deliver creative ideas.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards in design and storytelling with zero tolerance for creative bloat.
Oversee all deliverables to ensure best-in-class creative execution.
Uphold Global Studio’s standards of excellence across all formats.
About You
The essentials:
10–12 years in creative roles, including 5–7 years at CD level in international advertising and production.
A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual and executional work across B2C campaigns—including social and digital advertising, out-of-home, branded content, and video scripts for TVCs and online platforms.
Expertise in brand storytelling, visual design, digital innovation, and creative leadership.
Highly creative with strong storytelling abilities and a sharp eye for visual and design aesthetics.
