Farnsworth Group is seeking an OSP Project Manager in one of the below posting locations .

Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.




Posting Locations for this role: Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; or St. Louis, MO




Job Activities:


+ Manage client relationships and projects

+ Support development of proposals – including project scope, schedule and budget

+ Complete design and posting of telecommunications projects

+ Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications

+ Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets

+ Oversee work completed by technical and professional production staff

+ Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.

+ Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel


Specific Requirements:


+ Minimum of 4 years of OSP design experience

+ Experience in all aspects of Legal Mandate, IFP, Fiber Overbuild, FTTH, or LightGIG projects – including field data gathering, design and permitting

+ Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills

+ Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently whether in the office or field/remotely


Desired Skills:


+ Supervisory experience in OSP engineering design or construction

+ Experience in surveying or utility locating

+ Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation

+ Bachelor’s or Associate degree a plus

+ Degree in Engineering or related field a plus

Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
