Overnight Data Center Technician

Job Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our growing infrastructure team.

If you have experience with IT hardware, low-voltage systems, or structured cabling, you’ll feel right at home in this role.

You’ll help maintain and troubleshoot critical data center equipment to ensure smooth operations and high reliability.
Responsibilities

+ Install, configure, and maintain servers, network gear, and other data center hardware

+ Support low-voltage cabling, rack installations, and cable management

+ Monitor system performance and escalate issues as needed

+ Perform routine maintenance including firmware updates and hardware inspections

+ Assist with troubleshooting network and server-related problems

+ Follow security protocols and ensure compliance with operational policies

+ Document configurations, procedures, and maintenance logs

+ Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to improve data center efficiency

Qualifications

+ Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)

+ Experience with IT hardware, low-voltage cabling, or structured wiring is highly preferred

+ Basic understanding of networking and server operations

+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment

+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

+ Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus

Work Environment

+ Data center setting with occasional travel to other sites

+ Physical tasks include lifting and installing hardware components

+ May require work outside standard business hours for maintenance and troubleshooting

+ Shift Schedule:

+ A Side: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday

+ B Side: Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday

+ Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

+ Overnight Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM


+ Overtime: Paid for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
