Urgent! Palo Verde Engineering Summer Internship (Electrical Engineer) Job Opening In Tonopah – Now Hiring APS
APS is looking for full time ABET Accredited Engineering students who can help guide our business forward! Students who are interested in experiencing, practicing and learning business, engineering, information systems and fundamentals in real work settings.
The Palo Verde Summer internship is a paid 10 week program.
During the 10 weeks at Palo Verde you will be equipped with the tools needed to thrive and be challenged with meaningful individual projects.
You will get support from leaders who will help you succeed.
The APS internship program was recognized in 2020 and 2021 as a Top 100 Internship Program.
Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in a New Hire Orientation, Professional Development opportunities and company tours to learn more about Palo Verde and Arizona Public Service.

The Palo Verde Internship is a paid 10 week program starting in May, ending in July.
Qualified students will receive housing during the program.
Minimum Requirements
Actively enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university undergraduate Electrical Engineering program.
Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.
Preferred: Minimum GPA of 3.2.
Nuclear requirement: Any PVGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.
Any PVGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.
This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.
These are a condition of employment at PVGS.

The primary recruiting method for Palo Verde is through attendance of college career fairs.
We will be represented at the following schools: Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, New Mexico State University, University of New Mexico, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Wisconsin- Madison, Grand Canyon University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, and Penn State.
