Job Overview

The Panel Integration Technician is responsible for the installation and integration of electrical components within control panels, switchgear, sub-panels, and other equipment enclosures.

This role involves mechanical and electrical tasks to ensure proper assembly, functionality, and safety of electrical systems.


A Day In The Life

Component Installation:


+ Install pushbuttons, pilot and control devices, instruments, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, transformers, and similar components.

+ Install bus bars in panels and switchgear, including:


+ Insulating tubing, boots, and sleeving

+ Tape or roll-applied insulation

+ Insulators and supports



Mechanical Adjustments:


+ Perform bolting and securing of components.

+ Make necessary corrections for minor fabrication errors, including:


+ Redrilling

+ Tapping

+ Filing

+ Cutting



Electrical Tasks:


+ Perform panel installation and bonding.

+ Prepare, run, and terminate conductors.

+ Install cable tray systems.

+ Mount and/or wire:


+ Lights

+ Strut

+ Tray

+ AC/DC distribution panels

+ Battery chargers

+ Switches

+ Conduit



General Duties:


+ Complete any other electrical tasks related to equipment enclosures.

+ Perform touch-up painting as required.
