Job description

Salary: $825 / Week

Job Title: Paraprofessional / Classroom Support
Location: Various Sites (Claymont & Wilmington, DE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week (hours vary by school site)
Estimated Start Date: November 10, 2025
Duration: 28 weeks
Interview Format: Virtual
Position Overview:

Amergis Staffing is seeking four full-time Paraprofessionals toprovide instructional and behavioral support to students across variouseducational settings.

Under the supervision of the special educationdepartment, classroom teacher, or designated supervisor, the Paraprofessionalwill assist students with academic tasks, behavioral interventions, andpersonal care needs as outlined by healthcare professionals.


Open Positions:


+ Early Childhood Program Support


+ Location: Claymont, DE 19703

+ Role: Direct adult support for a student with self-care and orthopedic needs.




+ Emotional Support Program (Elementary)


+ Location: Wilmington, DE 19809

+ Role: Classroom support for students in an emotional support setting.




+ 18–22 Transition Program Support


+ Location: S.I.T.E Program

+ Address: Claymont, DE 19703

+ Role: Direct adult support for students in a transition program.



Standard School Hours:


+ Pre-K: 8:50 AM – 4:30 PM

+ Elementary: 8:25 AM – 3:55 PM

+ Middle School: 7:45 AM – 3:10 PM

+ High School: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
Minimum Requirements:


+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ One of the following educational qualifications:


+ Passing score of 459 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment

+ 60+ college credit hours from an accredited institution

+ Associate’s degree or higher


+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as required)

+ Drug screening

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
