Job Description and Position Requirements


The Donald P.

Bellisario College of Communications seeks to hire adjunct instructors in Journalism for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.

These appointments will be part-time, non-tenure track appointments without benefits and no guarantee of renewal.

Courses include but are not limited to skills-based courses in print/digital, broadcast and photojournalism.


The selected candidates should have professional experience.

Positions can require a Bachelor`s degree, Master`s degree or Ph.D. Applicants should apply by submitting a short letter of interest with their qualifications, current Curriculum Vitae (CV) and contact information with at least three references.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
