Description
The language lab assistant works with students and faculty to provide support to language lab users.
Will also proctor finals for online classes for different disciplines and help students with their registration.
Position Summary
Proctor and process ESL Placement tests.
Provide registration assistance and class info.
Support and assist language lab users.
Proctor language classes final exams.
Required Qualifications
Speak a foreign language.
Some interactive experience working with students.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of CSN policies.
Preferred Qualification
AA degree.
Experience with student services.
Computer experience.
Salary Range
$11.25 - $16 per hour
Based on experience and education
Please Note: This job is limited up to 1000 hours per calendar year

It will be open for a period of one year and has been established to collect a robust candidate pool for part-time positions that may become available within the designated discipline at CSN.
If a part-time position becomes available within the discipline, the department will review the application material of the candidates who have applied and will invite select candidates to interview based on their qualifications.
Should a candidate be selected for a part-time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need.
No reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided to local or out of area/out of state candidates and there is no guarantee of continued or future part-time and/or full-time employment.
