Temple University's College of Public Health is searching for a Community Engagement & Program Support Assistant!

SALARY RANGE: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

Position Summary:
The Community Engagement & Program Support Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of a cross-disciplinary project focused on developing and pilot testing a digital mental health intervention for underserved adolescents.

This role will involve project coordination, administrative support, and community engagement-related activities that contribute to the implementation and management of the project.

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated person to support the planning and implementation of a user-centered digital mental health intervention for adolescents.

This is a non-research position focused on programmatic, administrative, and engagement support for a multidisciplinary project team developing an innovative, trauma-informed mobile/web intervention for underserved youth.

The graduate student worker will assist the team with project coordination, youth and stakeholder engagement logistics, and community capacity-building efforts-particularly by helping local nonprofit partners develop sustainable practices to support adolescent mental health.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, and a minimum of two years of related work experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Education/experience in social work, public health, psychology, education, or related field
*Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
*Demonstrated experience working with youth, community organizations, or mental health programs preferred
*Comfort with digital tools (Google Suite, Zoom, basic project management software)
*Commitment to equity, accessibility, and trauma-informed practice
*Comfort conducting community outreach, needs assessments/interviews, and developing and presenting reports to stakeholders

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
*Experience with quantitative and qualitative methods

Essential duties:
*Provide administrative and project coordination support (e.g., scheduling, note-taking, email communications, tracking deliverables)
*Assist with community engagement activities including organizing focus groups and co-design sessions with youth, caregivers, and providers
*Maintain communication with community stakeholders, including schools, nonprofits, and mental health providers
*Support local nonprofit partners in developing sustainable, evidence-informed mental health practices aligned with the project's trauma-informed and youth-centered framework
*Prepare materials, presentations, and documentation for community events, pilot testing, and funder reporting
*Contribute to user feedback synthesis and support the team in integrating findings into digital product refinement
*Ensure culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and ethical engagement with all youth and community participants
Performs other duties as assigned

*This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
